# ROOTS Allotments > The UK's no-waiting-list, no-dig allotment community. Pre-prepared growing > patches with tools, organic seeds, and expert training included — for > individuals, couples, families and groups, from managed sites across England. ROOTS Allotments (founded 2022, Bath, UK) operates managed allotment sites across the UK. Members get a ready-to-grow raised patch, on-site hand tools, organic seeds each season, expert growing support, community events, and an app for tracking their plot — with no council waiting list. Every site is run on no-dig principles. No-dig (popularised by Charles Dowding) means the soil is never tilled. Cardboard is laid over grass or weeds, topped with 4–6 inches of compost, and crops are planted straight into the compost. Weed pressure typically falls sharply after the first season while soil structure, fungal networks and earthworm populations improve year on year. ## Key pages - [Home](https://www.rootsallotments.com/): Membership, pricing, and site locations. - [Mission](https://www.rootsallotments.com/mission): Why ROOTS exists and how many UK households we've given growing access to. - [Find a Site](https://www.rootsallotments.com/sites): All ROOTS allotment locations across the UK. - [Reviews](https://www.rootsallotments.com/reviews): 600+ member reviews from Trustpilot and Google. - [FAQ](https://www.rootsallotments.com/faq): Membership, pricing, patch sizes, and cancellation. - [No-Dig Course](https://www.rootsallotments.com/no-dig-course): Free beginner's course on no-dig growing. - [Press](https://www.rootsallotments.com/press): Media coverage and press resources. - [Landowners](https://www.rootsallotments.com/landowners): Partner with ROOTS to turn land into allotment sites. - [Help Centre](https://www.rootsallotments.com/help): Support articles for members and prospective members. - [Forum](https://www.rootsallotments.com/forum): Community growing discussions and Q&A. - [Book a Site Visit](https://www.rootsallotments.com/book-site-visit): Tour a ROOTS site in person. ## Growing knowledge (blog) - [Knowledge base](https://www.rootsallotments.com/knowledge): How-to guides for growing specific vegetables, fruit and herbs the no-dig way (spacing, sowing times, containers, pests, harvesting) across 200+ crops. - [The Daily Dig](https://www.rootsallotments.com/daily-dig): Growing journal plus local guides to allotments and council waiting lists in towns and cities across the UK. ## Optional - [Recipes](https://www.rootsallotments.com/recipes): Seasonal cooking from the harvest. - [Council Waitlist](https://www.rootsallotments.com/council-waitlist): Get notified when local council allotment lists reopen.
