Kale Succession Planting

Today we're Succession Planting which is a brilliant growing technique for maximizing your Allotment space. Kale is a great plant to use as an example for succession planting as it's a versatile and tasty crop that can be planted all year round!

Charles shows us how he's replaced the spinach which has been cleared, by transplanting Cavello Nero. They were brought up from seeds, with perfect timing to reestablish the No Dig Bed.

TOP TIP: Keep note of when you sow the new seeds and when you expect them to be ready to plant out. This way, you'll be able to marry up the timings to harvest and transplant on the same day.
