June is a super exciting time of the growing year, your patch is coming to life! Check out this video to see what Ed is up to at Roots.
Even though it's not peak harvest season you'll still be able to enjoy things like Garlic scapes, Broad Beans, Sorrel & Lettuce.
Your no-dig beds retain a good amount of water, but it's still good to keep it topped up. This is best to do in the morning so the water doesn’t evaporate in the midday sun and is dry before the slugs come out in the evening!
You could be planting out your Beetroots, more Lettuce, Tomatoes, Beans or Celeriac. The sowing timeline is available for you in the Community Tool Shed or the online Member's Area.
Composting is another job to do as well as pinching out Tomato side shoots and mounding up your potatoes! As always, keep on top of your weeds!
