If you don’t have space at home to sow & pot on don't worry, you can get a lot of success by sowing seeds straight into the ground! Ed's at the patch to show us how it's done, get your dibber at the ready!
Bear in mind that little seedlings are more susceptible to pests, especially slugs and pigeons who really love them. When you’re direct sowing, prep your patch first, water where you're about to sow, pull out any sneaky weeds, then lightly rake to prepare the surface.
Today, Ed's multi-sowing spring onions. A sprinkling of seeds into one hole, 10cm apart from each other. Tuck your seeds in and give them a splash of water. If you want to have lots of spring onions throughout the season, you can just cut the greens from the top and let them regrow!
