Tool options; the best option is your half moon edger, but you can also use long handed shears.

As it overgrows it is rooting under the ground as well as overground! Make sure you have your trowel handy as you’ll come across weeds to take out as you go.

Chopping 5-7cm in if you need to and then use the trowel to pull up the grass, and tap the compost before you pop them into the compost
