Slugs

Has your patch been visited by slugs? Of course, slugs are everywhere! However, keeping on top of the number of them is the best way to deal with them, before they munch on all of your delicious organic crops. Kate will give lots of tips and natural deterrents for controlling the pests in this video!

You'll often see theses slimy guys in plain sight, as well as hiding in places like under pots, seed trays, bricks - basically wherever is cool and damp!

They aren't all bad, slugs are great for clearing up leaf litter and debris in your garden but they do often end up eating things we don’t want them to!  A natural way of getting rid of them is beer traps or a homemade Garlic spray, Kate shows us how!

Top tip: Look out for tiny little balls in your compost, these are slug or snail eggs & you can get rid of them before they hatch near your seedlings!
