Nasturtium
We're back at Four Acres where Kate is harvesting her Nasturtiums. What can you use each part of the plant for?
PEST CONTROL: Whilst these colourful crawlers are growing in your patch they are a fantastic deterrent for pests. They are popular not just with pollinators but also caterpillars. Try growing them near brassicas to intercept the critters.
FLAVOUR: With a punchy, peppery taste the leaves are a welcome addition to salads and stirfry. The flowers also are fragrant and delicious! Even the seed pods can be pickled like capers.
BEAUTY: Fabulous colours, and patterns in many varieties, they'll happily & quickly self-seed and you'll have bouquets for days!
