French Beans Clearing

Check out how to clear your French Bean plants with Charles Dowding.

Thoughtfully clearing your plants looks after the soil below and with beans even more so! Let's check for Nitrogen Nodules on the delicate roots. Nitrogen is a powerful element for your plants and soil. Sometimes the nodules will appear on the roots as little brown balls, they feed the plant as it grows and we'll leave them in the soil for the succeeding crops.

Charles explains why it's a great idea to just easily cut your bean plants at soil level, leaving the clever root system in the earth.
