Red Cabbage Harvesting & Clearing

You'll be harvesting & clearing your Cabbage at the same time. As always, in our No Dig revolution, we'll be aiming for minimal soil disturbance and locking the roots in the ground. Here Ed will show you how!

Firstly discard the outer leaves to get to the main crop that is undamaged and delicious.

Cut the Cabbage as close to the soil level as possible. This allows the Cabbage root system to feed the soil's microbes. If there is a stump you can't chop away, twist and pull this out gently leaving as much of it in the ground as possible, then firm the earth down.

Enjoy with your Sunday roast
