Radish grows nice and fast, from early spring. As a new grower, often it'll be one of the first vegetables you harvest! How exciting!
Charles Dowding's radishes are now 5 weeks old, have been watered well and will be perfect in a salad. Find out how to harvest with minimal soil disturbance at your No Dig patch!
Charles suggests selective twisting & pulling, harvesting the bigger ones of your multi-sown bunch to let the smaller ones get bigger.
You will notice that the leaves look a little eaten by flea beetles which is normal. You can check out this pest management lesson here: https://youtu.be/RQzvsAI7i50
A crop of radishes is quick so Charles suggests inter sowing with other plants such as French Beans to maximise your space. When you harvest the radishes you'll have other plants still with roots in the ground!
