Spring Onion Harvesting

Harvesting your spring onions, without pulling the vital root system from the soil...There's not just one but three ways to do this! Woah! Let's join Charles in his No Dig Bed to find out more!

1. Use a trowel to cut underneath the bunch and harvest the whole lot.

2. Cut them with scissors above the soil level for eventual regrowth.

3. As spring onions are best multi-sown, you can take one spring onion out at a time, taking out the biggest of the bunch and letting the smaller ones get bigger!

What variety of Spring Onions are you trying this year?
